Relaxed, Comfortable Dental Care
Safe Sedation Choices
Oral Sedation
Oral sedation involves taking a prescribed pill before your appointment. The medication helps you stay deeply relaxed yet awake and responsive. Most patients describe the experience as calm and dream-like, with little memory of the procedure afterward.
This method works well for moderate anxiety and allows us to perform treatments efficiently while you remain comfortable from start to finish. Because oral sedatives take time to wear off, you’ll need someone to drive you home afterward.
IV Sedation
IV (intravenous) sedation provides the highest level of relaxation available in a dental setting. The sedative is administered directly into your bloodstream, allowing the dentist to adjust the dosage throughout your procedure for precise control.
You’ll remain conscious but deeply relaxed, with little awareness of time passing. IV sedation is often recommended for complex procedures or for patients with severe dental anxiety. Safety is our priority—your vital signs are continuously monitored to ensure complete comfort and security.
Nitrous Oxide
Commonly known as laughing gas, nitrous oxide is a mild sedative delivered through a small mask placed over your nose. It produces a light, calming sensation within minutes, reducing tension and fear while keeping you fully alert.
Once the mask is removed, the effects wear off almost instantly, so you can drive yourself home afterward. Nitrous oxide is a great option for both adults and children who need a gentle way to relax during shorter or routine treatments.
